Ans: Instead of creating characters to suit a story, you should create characters who will give rise to a story. The reason for this is different characters will react differently in different situations which will influence the subsequent sequences. So if you are fixed on the story and start tailoring the characters to suit the story there is a danger of the characters becoming inconsistent which in turn will make the story look false. It is for more advisable to have a general idea of where the story should be going and then create the characters and then let the characters guide you towards the end of the story. Satya is a prime example of this
